I have always LOVED the Fourth of July! There is something so patriotic in firing up the grill and adding some stars and stripes to your celebration! This is a simple decoration to make yourself. Use some jute and measure so it will slightly drape above your doorway or where you plan to attach your garland and trim. Be sure to leave a few inches on the end to tie around something.

Gather your red, white and blue ribbons in various widths. (TIP: You need some wider ribbon to make this go faster! If all your ribbons are thin, it doesn’t have the same effect. I loved adding in the white eyelet ribbon that was edged on both sides but flat and easy to tie!) Your ribbons should vary in length to make it look more authentique. Don’t try to make everything match perfectly, just alternate the red, white and blue ribbons. Notch the bottom edges of the ribbon if you like that look as I did, or leave it straight across- you decide! Tie your ribbon around the jute base piece and tie a cute bow at the end of each edge to finish it off! Look around your entry- where could you hang a pretty Fourth of July garland?
