Comfort Food: Sweet Cornbread
Need something warm to go with your yummy soup? This cornbread is the ticket! It really tastes more like cake with a little bit of corn flavor, so you know its a winner! It is super moist and it will become one of the classic, favorite recipes your family will beg you for! This homemade version is sooooo much better than anything you can buy in the store, you won’t mind mixing it up the old fashioned way.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cubes of real butter
1 cup of granulated sugar
2 slightly beaten eggs
1cup of milk
2 cups of Bisquick
2 T. (Heaping) of cornmeal
1/2 t. baking soda
Blend softened butter and sugar, add in eggs and milk. Stir in Bisquick, cornmeal and soda. Spread into a 9 x13 greased pan and cook in 350 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden on top. This is delicious!
